HAMPER SCHEME SPREADING CHRISTMAS CHEER TO OTLEY FAMILIES
A PARTNERSHIP between Otley Lions and Prince Henry’s Grammar School is helping families who have been affected by the pandemic.

OTLEY LIONS' GIFT FOR CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS GIFT APPEAL
OTLEY Lions have done their bit to help ensure poorly children receive a Christmas gift this year.
The club has made a £500 donation to the Yorkshire Children’s Hospitals Christmas Gift Appeal which collects and delivers thousands of presents for children who are having to spend the festive season in a local hospital or hospice.

OTLEY LIONS CLUB MAKES DONATION TO BURLEY CRICKET CLUB
Over the Christmas period Otley Lions Club raised funds for the president’s awards and grants scheme.
These funds were put aside for people and groups to apply for.
A spokesman for the Otley Lions Club said: “Due to the coronavirus we had to put the scheme on hold even though many worthy applications came in."
With restrictions being eased President David McDowell was able to visit Burley Cricket Club to present them with a cheque for £1,000.

EARLY FESTIVE GIFT FOR LIONS CLUBS
AN OTLEY garden centre has given an early Christmas gift to two Lions clubs.
Otley Lions hold a fundraising Santa’s grotto at Stephen H Smith’s each winter but had to cancel it this year due to the pandemic.
The Smith family, however, have donated £2,500 to the club - and to Keighley Lions, who they also work with - to ease the blow.

NEW PRESIDENT FOR OTLEY LIONS CLUB
The club usually holds a relaxed gathering with food and drink for its handover ceremony - but things had to be done a little differently this time due to COVID-19.

SANTA’S VISITS TO OTLEY AND POOL RAISE THOUSANDS
